About Scrum for Project Managers
This interactive 8-hour course is designed for project managers who already have foundational familiarity with Scrum and are working on or alongside Scrum Teams. Designed by Hyperdrive’s Certified Scrum Trainer® Julie Chickering in collaboration with the Scrum Alliance, it builds on core Scrum concepts commonly gained through experience or introductory training such as Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO).
Participants explore how the project management role evolves within Scrum-based and hybrid environments, gaining practical clarity on where traditional project management responsibilities shift to Scrum accountabilities—and where project managers continue to deliver significant value. The course emphasizes how project managers support successful outcomes by enabling teams, aligning delivery with organizational priorities, and navigating blended predictive and adaptive ways of working.
By the end of the course, participants will be better equipped to adapt their leadership approach, operate effectively alongside Scrum Teams, and succeed as project managers across agile and hybrid environments.
