So you’ve set your OKRs, but for some reason they are just not hitting. I’m here to offer a diagnosis and a prescription for some of the most common OKR pitfalls.

Problem number one, setting vague objectives.
Your objectives need to be clear and specific. Really honing in on that well thought out goal will help you drive that focused action.

Problem number two, unachievable key results.
If you can’t hit those key results, you’ve got to stop and reevaluate. Your key results should be ambitious, but also realistic. So yeah, you want to shoot for the stars, but you also want to make sure you have the resources you need so you can actually fly high into the sky.

Problem number three, lack of alignment.
All teams need to be alive with your company objectives. When your entire team is working together, you work better as a team and you also meet those metrics.
